On the Surface:

This simply beautiful example of a 1954 MG TF is finished in Black with a matching Black soft top and side screens, complemented by a Green leather interior.

Maintenance & History:

With just four former keepers and in the hands of the current owner for the past 15 years, this TF boasts a strong provenance. It comes accompanied by a comprehensive history file that includes numerous old MOT certificates, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate confirming its status as a home-market, right-hand drive example still presented in its original exterior and interior colour scheme and retaining its original engine. The file also contains a wealth of invoices, handbooks and manuals. Mechanically well cared for, this TF benefits from an overhauled engine and braking system, a back axle upgrade and a new battery.

The Model:

Launched in October 1953, the MG TF was the final iteration of the T-Series and represented a significant step forward. It retained the 1250cc XPAG engine from the TD Mark II but featured faired-in headlights, a sloping grille design with a concealed radiator, a pressurised cooling system, and a distinctive simulated external radiator cap. Only 9,602 TFs were produced before the model was succeeded by the MGA in April 1955.

Sale Insight:

Offered from long-term enthusiast ownership and presenting in highly original specification, this 1954 MG TF is a compelling opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.

Estimate:
£10,000 - £12,000
