On the Surface:

A superb example of the X100-generation Jaguar XKR Convertible, finished in Sapphire Blue Metallic with a Black soft top over an Oatmeal leather interior. This example is also complemented by the car’s purposeful styling cues, including the model’s signature bonnet louvres, discreet rear spoiler and mesh front grille which differentiated it from the naturally aspirated XK8.

Maintenance & History:

First registered in 1999, this car has had just two former keepers and presents today in great original condition. Its documentation is particularly comprehensive, including the Driver's Handbook, Total Care Handbook, In-car Telephone Handbook, Security System booklet, Dealership Directory, Vehicle Care Handbook, and Sound System Handbook – all neatly stored in the original Jaguar bookpacks. Well cared for throughout its life, this XKR comes with an excellent history file containingf MOT certificates dating back to 2003 and numerous invoices for servicing and maintenance. The Total Care Handbook records 8 service stamps between 2000 (at 8,152 miles) and 2013 (at 64,179 miles), with the current mileage of 80,472 miles supported by consistent MOT and service records.:

The Model:

Launched in May 1998, the XKR was the high-performance flagship of Jaguar’s first-generation of the new XK range, sharing its XJS-derived platform with the Aston Martin DB7. Beneath the bonnet lies a supercharged 4.0-litre V8 producing 370 bhp, aided by a 1.8-litre Eaton supercharger delivering 11.9 psi of boost. Power is channelled to the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic gearbox, enabling 0–60 mph in just 5.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. Subtle styling enhancements over the XK8 include bonnet louvres, a rear spoiler, and mesh grille – all hints at the performance available.

Sale Insight:

With its low ownership, low mileage and extensive history, this XKR Convertible is a fine representation of Jaguar’s late-1990s and early noughties grand tourer. It remains a highly desirable modern classic, offering open-top motoring with the thrill of supercharged V8 power.

Estimate:
£4,500 - £5,500
